October Walk

Yesterday was cold, wet and cloudy. We were very happy to see the sunshine today.
We had lunch on our deck. Sarah made Fettucine Alfredo and green beans for us. She's so nice to do the cooking each Sunday.
Joe was up really early this morning, so he took a little nap after lunch. Once he was rested we went for a walk.

We enjoy exploring places that are off the beaten path.

We took our time and were easy on ourselves:

On our way back we decided to climb down to this waterfall:

I love mountains and streams. They make me happy:

I have a fun and patient walking partner. He's put up with me for 30 years now:

We even collected some cute little acorns to add to our Holiday Decor.
Joe gets to take Monday off from work. He's going to do some more work on the deck. He's pouring concrete for the stairs.
Eventually a pretty colonial style railing will be installed too.

Nice fun walk to a familiar location. We took a few side trips that made even MORE fun. The climb down to the little water fall was fun and found a secret warm spot with some rocks. Hmm hope I didn't give it away!

We explored the hill on the North side of the road where the car was parked. We saw a huge flat rock that gets a ton of sun. Unfortunately another couple was basking in the heat there. We decided that someday, we want a turn to sit on that rock too. That's the secret warm spot being talked about.
